when did i become such a tired mom cliche???

plus what happens when you can't rely on shame to get your ass out of bed and some last minute, easy-peasy Halloween costume ideas

Currently I have at least four full time jobs:

• I’m a single parent

• I run a household

• I’ve got a new gig as a content strategist and team leader

• and I’m a writer (with a book due on December 1) (and another one due Dec 1, 2024) (and a newsletter and podcast and storytelling that I love and that I constantly feel like I’m fucking up or failing at because jobs 1-3)

Of course left off this list are all the other things that make up a life: friends and family, holidays, hobbies, exercise (HAHAHA), watching Survivor, etc. Right now these extra curriculars aren’t really happening for me because I’m asleep by 8:00 p.m.

I did, however, make time for our Halloween couple’s costume tradition. But this is part of my most important job, motherhood, and it’s worth it. Ew, David!!! Also, ew, sentimentality!!!!!!
