The Husbands is a book about a million husbands coming out of an attic.
My first reaction: BLECH, can you imagine having to deal with MULTIPLE husbands? Isn’t one bad enough? Yeah, no, I’m out.1
My second reaction: I am way too literal for this.
Seriously, I’m pretty much your most literal friend. Like once I went to an escape room and I kept getting derailed by the plot of the escape room, like if grandma was murdered, how / why did she leave all these clues about her murder? And then my kid was yelling at me, the serial killer left the clues!!!! But still I had trouble because pretty sure only grandma could’ve left some of these clues??? and everyone’s like, this is not the point, and I’m like, I mean, if there’s a story….shouldn’t the story make sense???
Anyway, The Husbands. I saw it on enough must read lists and saw enough rave reviews, that in my book buying fiasco, I picked it up. And I’m so glad I did because I LOVED IT.
